Check out sidestep.com. It allows you to search for the cheapest flight on many other sites simultaneously (sites like Travelocity, Expedia, Orbitz, the airline sites, etc.). It does not cover Hotwire, so search that one separately. Good luck!

I use bookingbuddy.com. In fact, I used it and bought 3 separate tickets last night.

    Go to TakeORF.com.

It’s Norfolk International Airport’s web site in Virginia but their search engine will book between any city, and it has car and hotel rental, too. It searches Worldspan and Sabre reservation systems. I’ve found some great deals.

Another good site is kayak.com. It has some features that none of the others do. However, it’s not a booking site per se. It searches all the airline web sites for the results. If you buy it links you directly to the airline for booking.
