Where can I find really good, unknown deals on Paris hotels and airline tickets online?

Hannah B asked:

Where can I find some really good deals on a trip to paris- hotels and airline tickets, for june of this year. I obviously know about travelocity, priceline, etc, and the comparison features, but are there any really good, insider websites, or is there a good time to book everything (early or late). Any related info would be greatly appreciated.

Paris is the single most popular tourist destination in the world. It is a bit of wishful thinking to believe there is anything unknown about travel there.

Getting the best deals on a trip to Paris is a matter of constantly checking airfares, a willingness to be flexible as to the time of your trip and recognizing that you don’t need a hotel that has cable TV, elevators, and minibar.

Check out the hotels on Eurocheapo (http://www.eurocheapo.com/paris/) and consider a hostel.

Well to book your hotel the best thing to do, if you’re looking for good deals, is to book directly on their Official Site. You can get up to 15 to 20% discount on their website.

If you want, I’ve created a website that get direct the hotel’s price from it’s website. You can book directly on it or on the hotel’s site (you’ll get a link to acces it for every hotels on my site).

I hope you can the good deal you’re looking for here :

If you are a student (and have a valid student ID), you can go through statravel.com. They have amazing deals on transportation, lodging, etc. AND they also have prepackaged travel plans that you can consider.

Many campus centers at larger universities include STA Travel travel agencies, so you may be able to talk to a representative in person.

I’m assuming you are American. Here is a tactic I use when looking for deals for myself or clients.

Do a Google search for “hotel paris site:.fr” (without the quote marks).

This will return ONLY sites with the dot-fr suffix. In other words, only FRENCH sites. Often you will find hotels and booking engines that you wouldn’t find otherwise.

In place of hotel, you could use French words like logement, hebergement, appartement, sous-location (sublet).

Here’s a French hotel chain with many sub brands:

    Also:

    Formule1 is their budget brand.

    Good luck.
