    I always use, just enter the date and what you’re looking for (just flight or a package) and it gives you the websites that would have it.

    Contrary to what some people on this website will tell you, airfares are not automatically cheaper if you buy on certain days of the week or just after midnight. Fares may be cheaper if you travel on certain days of the week, but the day of the week that you buy it does not matter unless the airline is having a sale and it is about to end.

    Airlines adjust fares all the time based on demand for seats. I’ve seen fares for a single flight change multiple times in a single day. I’ve even seen them change in the middle of making a reservation.

    You can often save money by flying on Tuesday or Wednesday. The cheapest fares often have advance purchase and minimum stay restrictions, so don’t wait too long. You usually want to buy at least 14 days before you go. Other than that, it’s just dumb luck. You can buy a ticket today and it might be $50 cheaper tomorrow. It also might be $50 more.

    No website always has the cheapest fare. However, kayak.com is a good place to start. It searches many different websites and combines the responses so that you can check a lot of fares quickly on a lot of websites. It can be a real time saver.
